Miesha Tate, born on August 18, 1986, in Tacoma, Washington, has firmly established herself as a formidable force in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA) and beyond. With a career that spans over a decade, Tate has been recognized not just for her tenacity inside the octagon but also for her achievements outside of it, including her victory on the reality TV show “Celebrity Big Brother.”


Starting her professional MMA career in 2007, Tate quickly made a name for herself by capturing the 135-pound Freestyle Cage Fighting (FCF) Women’s Bantamweight Championship in 2009. Her journey through Strikeforce saw her claiming the Women’s Bantamweight Championship, which set the stage for her eventual move to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
